Vertical Tibetan Prayer Flags

The vertical banner flags are called Dar Cho in Tibetan and are attached to poles using the cord sewn along the edge. These flags consist of five coloured flags sewn together, each with a separate coloured streamer that hangs off of the end. The five colours can represent the five directions, the five wisdoms, the five meditation Buddhas the five mental attributes, or the five realms of existence with the blue flag atop symbolizing the sky, followed by white for cloud, red for fire, green for water and yellow for earth. Each flag is 47 cm x 41 cm (poles not included).
