Zen Samu Suit - Blue - medium

Medium-weight natural cotton. Colour: Blue Size: Medium SAMUÉ suit ~ the Samué is not a ceremonial robe but the simple ensemble worn by Japanese Zen monks while attending to duties in the temple and temple gardens - practising active meditation and awareness. A simple - comfortable - loose-fitting cotton garment - composed of loose trousers secured by ties (which may be replaced by elastic - if preferred) at the waist and ankles - and a jacket - with a small inside pocket - also secured by two sets of ties - it is particularly suitable for wear during meditation or yoga - the practice of Taichi Chuan - or as a comfortable and practical form of leisure wear. This is not fashion wear and a loose - comfortable fit is desirable. Not suitable for heavy Martial Arts such as Aikido - Judo - Karate - etc.
